Is the SEO check free?
Yes. Anyone can check a page from the home page without an account, up to 6 checks an hour. The free check runs the same set of about 100 tests, without browser rendering or PageSpeed, and shows the score and the most important fixes. An account adds the full report, site crawls, rank tracking and scheduled re-checks.
What is Spider SEO Auditor?
Spider SEO Auditor is a web-based SEO tool. You enter a page address and it runs about 100 checks covering technical SEO, on-page SEO, content, speed, mobile, security, structured data and AI search readiness, then lists every problem with why it matters and how to fix it.
How is the SEO score calculated?
Each check passes, warns or fails, and is weighted by its impact. Checks are grouped into 12 categories, and each category carries a fixed share of the overall score out of 100: crawlability and on-page SEO count most at 20% each, followed by content at 15%.
What does a site crawl find that a page audit cannot?
A crawl follows the links across up to 2,000 pages and compares them. It finds duplicate titles and content, redirect chains, broken links and images, orphan pages missing from internal links, sitemap gaps, canonical errors and pages that are weakly linked.
How does Spider check visibility in AI search?
It scores each page for AI search readiness, tracks whether Google's AI Overview cites your site for your keywords, and asks ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini your customers' questions to see whether they mention your brand, cite your pages or name competitors.
